Senate Joint Resolution 52, introduced by Senator Danny Carroll of Paducah, unanimously passed both the KY House and Senate and became law on April 10, 2018. The Joint Resolution requires the Kentucky Department of Education to collaborate with the University of Kentucky of Human Development Institute and the University of Louisville College of Education and Human Development in assisting local school districts statewide in implementing peer support arrangements and peer networks.
